Melissa Fenton
PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Melissa comes from a performing arts background and grew up dancing. She trained in styles such as jazz, tap, and contemporary, alongside singing and acting. She holds a PhD in musical theatre and has a research interest in Pilates for musical theatre students. When Melissa started practicing Pilates well over a decade ago, she was surprised by the cross over with her dance training from her formative years.
After years practicing mat Pilates, Melissa was introduced to clinical Pilates to aid in recovery from surgery. It is here her interest in the Reformer began. Melissa received her Reformer certification from Renee Scott at Balance 8 Pilates. Renee originally trained under Romana Kryzanowska, one of the Pilates elders.
